In recent years, there has been controversy in Serbia and the region over the celebration of Halloween. While some dispute this holiday as a bad legacy of Western civilization that infiltrates our customs, others are waiting with joy and impatience for the day when they will be able to disguise themselves as vampires, witches, zombies and other imaginary characters.

Halloween does not only mean preparing costumes from horror movies, but also appropriate makeup. If your makeup is effective enough, you won’t even need a costume. Take a look at the entire Halloween makeup collection and design an original makeup costume.

Here are some of our suggestions on how to make your Halloween makeup look great!

Creative Halloween Makeup “Masks”

You can make a scary Halloween mask yourself. With the right Halloween makeup products, like wax to create scars and fake blood – anything is possible. It takes a little imagination and creativity to achieve the desired look.

To achieve the most realistic look and fully evoke the scary effect, use the Revolution Makeup SFX wax putty to create fake scars and wounds. With a spatula, grab the appropriate amount of product and form the desired shape with your fingers. Then apply the shaped wax on a clean face and, if necessary, further shape the desired look. Thanks to the texture of wax similar to modeling clay and beige color, which is most similar to the color of the skin, you can faithfully portray a variety of scars, wounds and burns on the face and body. After creating the desired shape on the skin, on the whole face and over the wax, apply liquid powder or concealer with a brush to even out the complexion. To avoid shine and matte the face, apply white or transparent powder to fix makeup.

In order for the effect to be as frightening as possible in the spirit of a themed party, be sure to use Makeup Obsession Halloween Love Bite fake blood. With the help of a brush, you can apply and lightly dab the paint on the places where “the blood has already dried”. If necessary, repeat the procedure several times where you want the color to be darker. To achieve the effect of “bleeding through the face”, apply a few drops of the product to the source of the “wound”. Then let them slide freely through the skin.

Then combine the appropriate creamy face colors to enhance the desired effect and create different shades on the skin, which simulate swelling and bruising from “injury”. Blend them well and additionally fix them with appropriate matte shades of powder shadows.

Nothing Without Pumpkins

The first association to Halloween are pumpkins. Paint your face with a combination of orange, yellow and black. This Halloween look you can easily create, even if you are not skilled in painting. It does not require great precision. For this you will need NYX Professional Makeup face and body paints, brushes or sponges for blending and a little imagination. After drawing the desired patterns on the face, wait a few minutes. Then use a matte makeup fixing spray to prevent the face from shining and smudging. The fixative will also enable longer make-up durability.

To fully illustrate the spirit of Halloween, our proposal is that with this makeup look further emphasize the eyes with decorative lashes with a Halloween theme. Thanks to the material from which they are made, they are extremely light and comfortable to wear.

Easy Halloween Makeup With Creative Motifs on the Face

Although orange and pumpkin are the most recognizable symbols of Halloween, you can try something different. Let the creepy creatures of the night come to life on your face: spiders, bats, ghosts and witches. This kind of makeup requires a little skill in drawing and blending colors. Our advice is to use appropriate colors for the face and body with which you can create original drawings and “revive the creepy creatures of the night” on your face. Emphasize the eyes with black eyeliner and dark shadow, and apply blush or liquid highlighter on the cheeks, which is available in a glass bottle in the shape of a skeleton head. To make the makeup last throughout the evening, use a fixing spray when finished.

Vamp Look: A Symbol of the Halloween Party

For the biggest masquerade ball of the year, everything is allowed, and the scarier the makeup, the better. White color for contouring the face, as if it was created just for this occasion. For a classic vampire costume, it is enough to paint the whole face white. We suggest that you use the lightest shade from the Makeup Obsession Obsessive Contour contour palette. Then apply dark red lipstick on your lips. With the help of a red pencil and fake blood, create effective details on your face, which will completely evoke a vamp look.

If you are not a fan of scary masks, you can evoke a vampire look in a much gentler and more subtle way. Apply white cream color on the whole face, even over the eyebrows, lower lashes and eyelids. Instead of face paint, you can use white baking powder, which you will apply in a thicker layer by first spraying the brush with liquid makeup fixative, so that the powder becomes slightly creamy. When the paint dries, draw false eyebrows and eyelashes with a black pencil, and draw optional lines on the face. Apply black lipstick on the lips with a matte finish. Shade the upper lid with a dark shadow, and place Halloween lashes on the upper lashes, to make the eyes visually bigger. In this way you can achieve the effect of “porcelain dolls”.

Show Creativity in a Simple Way

It’s the right time to experiment and show all your creativity and make-up skills. An effective result does not require much effort, but a good idea. In addition to powder and mascara, for this makeup you will need: black eyeliner, red lipstick and liquid red highlighter in a bottle with a pipette that will easily evoke the effect of drops of blood flowing down the face. Optionally frame the eyes with a pencil and blend the color in the smokey eye technique, but so as to achieve a messy look of smudged makeup. Draw black lines over the lipstick and on the face that resemble seams and your Halloween “mask” is ready.

Halloween Makeup That Anyone Can Create

If you are not skilled enough in face painting, there are simple creations that you will be able to make. Use a pencil to first draw the contours on the face, below and above the eyes. Then paint the inside of the drawn shapes. Our recommendation is to use black waterproof eyeliner I Heart Revolution Watermelon in pencil.

For the lips, choose a matte lipstick in dark red. Apply it in the ombre technique, combining lipstick with a black pencil, with which you can draw extended lip lines.

Do It Differently

Maybe the Halloween makeup doesn’t have to be creepy, but it has to be conspicuous and different from the usual. So, forget about gentle and nude colors, slightly accentuated eyes and discreet lips. Halloween is masquerade time! Our suggestion is to use a metallic gloss for black lips, and for the eyes, choose a combination of red, pink and black shadows and blend them well.

Halloween makeup allows everyone to show their skills, without fear of wrong moves. For this event, no color is exaggerated, no detail is overemphasized. Halloween and masquerade serve just that, to be eccentric, extravagant and to put on make-up just like we wouldn’t normally for any other event.

Happy Halloween
