Strobing is a popular makeup technique, that involves highlighting (illuminating) certain parts of face in order to achieve a natural, bright and healthy look. Unlike contouring, strobing doesn't involve using dark shades for contouring. Depending on the shape of the face, highlighter (illuminator) is usually applied to the top of the cheekbones, the bridge of the nose, the inner corner of the eye, the cupid's bow, and the brow bone. Depending on personal taste or occasion, a subtle and natural glow can be created using strobing tehcnique, as well as, more intense highlight for special events or evening makeup looks.
